New position at the Office of the President, the University Diversity Coordinator. The position is has been opened to all qualified applicants within and outside UC.

The new University Diversity Coordinator will strategize, guide and support diversity across the UC system. Key activities:
- Provides consultation to campus diversity officers and systemwide administrators in designing and implementing institution-wide goals to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion for all faculty, staff and students.
- Collaborates with campus diversity officers to integrate a systemwide diversity accountability framework to monitor and evaluate systemwide progress in meeting diversity goals.
- Convenes and coordinates systemwide diversity work groups, committees and councils in order to assure cooperation and coordination in developing new programs and to share best practices.
- Develops proposals and recommendations for institutional policy revisions, coordinating implementation as appropriate.
- Monitors internal and external diversity trends and legal developments impacting policy and programs.
- Advises the Provost and campus leadership on key diversity issues related to faculty, students, staff and campus climate and emerging national priorities.
