Seasonal Ag Technician position open

Just an FYI for you or anyone you know who may be interested, please feel free to forward to others:

The Plumas-Sierra Ag Dept. will be hiring a Seasonal Agricultural Technician for this summer's noxious weed spray season.  We are currently waiting for Human Resources to process the extra hire request.  In the next few weeks, the position should show up on the county's job openings web page:  http://www.countyofplumas.com/humanresources/job_openings.htm and in the local newspapers.  In these advertisements will be a deadline date for getting applications into Human Resources.  The Ag Dept. does not handle the application process, so do not bring applications to our office…take them to Human Resources in room 115 of the Courthouse in Quincy.

The position will be from May 1, 2009 to August 31, 2009 and will pay $14.00 per hour.  You must be at least 18 years old, comply with pesticide label requirements, and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while handling and applying pesticides.  Attached is a more detailed job description.
