White Earth Tribal and Community College seeks a new president.
 
WETCC is a small, rural two year collegeon that serves Tribal and non-Tribal members. The College was established in 1997 and is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. WETCC is committed to preparing its students for a global society while offering a curriculum and infrastructure that is imbedded in Ojibwe culture, values, and knowledge.
The new president will need to engage with students, community, faculty, and staff in order to lead and will need to support and nurture the ongoing process of Indigenizing the College. The president provides leadership and guidance to all programs and is responsible for directing all activities and functions of the College in maintaining continuity with the values, culture, policies and procedures of WETCC.
Candidates should have a Doctorate although a Masters with five years minimum higher education experience will be considered. Candidates should also have a capacity to build and cultivate financial support for the College and its programs, and accomplishments in creating and supporting a climate of community, understanding, integrity, and mutual respect. WETCC expects that the new president will possess a deep understanding of Native culture and the ability to communicate with diverse groups, both Native and non-Native.
