Visiting Assistant Professorship

Dear Colleague,

I am writing to alert you to an opportunity that may be of interest to
recent (or near) Ph.D.s in your department who specialize in American Indian
literature or American Indian studies.  Marquette University, the Department
of English, my department, is interviewing for a Visiting Assistant
Professorship in the field.  The position is a 3/3 load with a salary
somewhere in the low $30,000s (sadly),  and it is renewable for three years.
You will find more information about the position at the following site:

While the listing casts its net wider than American Indian studies, we have
strong student interest and important coverage needs that will work in favor
of a candidate in this field.  We also hope to secure a line for a tenure
track specialist in American Indian literatures within the next couple of
years.

I'd be grateful if you could pass this information on to past or present
members of your department who might be interested.  If you'd like more
information, please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone
(414-288-7612).

Many thanks,

Jodi Melamed
