Here is what were seeking:
Prefer an Native American designer: An upcoming, established Art Director /
Set Designer that understand the visualization of creating a scene from reading
a Native American script.
An individual that has good relationships with vendors, rental houses and able
to assemble a team. Able to understand and handle all aspects of on-set
production design. Able to work on short deadlines, and understand the
visualization of Native American stories. Be able to invest in the look and
feel of a set.
A little bit about the project I'm working on. The project is called "Creative
Spirit" each year the Creative Spirit film shootout launches a nation-wide call
for 10-page screenplays from Native American writers. Two scripts are chosen,
this year we are filming one short in New Mexico and the other one here in Los Angeles. We
try to maintain the participates as an all Native Cast along with crew to work
under the guidance of professional mentors. The program is structured to
provide training opportunities for new, emerging and established Native
American talent in the film industry and also generate more professional-level
Native-themed creative content.
