The Department of Physiology and Biophysics invites applications for a
faculty position at the Assistant Professor (tenure track) or tenured
Associate Professor level. We seek candidates working on medically
important cell biology problems using quantitative single-cell optical
imaging in concert with biochemical, biophysical, and molecular biological
methods. General areas of interest include cell signaling,
differentiation and growth control, intracellular processing and sorting
of biomolecules, membrane formation and turnover, and exocytosis. In
addition to building a strong program of research that complements the
rich diversity of the Department's existing research programs
(http://www.ucihs.uci.edu/pandb), the successful candidate must hold a
Ph.D. or M.D. and is expected to teach medical and graduate students.
